Kaylee Wilson

Out of the more than 300 volunteers at Champ’s Heart, Kaylee Wilson stands out. She’s put in countless hours at the organization dedicated to connecting people with the healing power of horses.

As Lori Johnson, the Event Coordinator for Champ’s Heart, said, “Kaylee is an amazing volunteer. She is well-rounded, a great listener, a great worker, and a great partner for the children at Champ's Heart. She is the youngest blue hat [coach] at the barn, and she outworks and outdoes the adults.”

For her high school senior project, this year’s Timeless Youth Philanthropist went above and beyond once again: Kaylee conceptualized, created, and organized a Champ's Heart rodeo. It took place during the Warbonnet Roundup and Kaylee created events for Champ’s Heart kids that they could safely accomplish. 53 kids were involved in events including barrel racing, buggy racing, and a boot game.

Boise Contemporary Theater

As the leaves turned yellow around Boise this fall, Boise Contemporary Theatre opened its 100th production. With “What the Constitution Means to Me,” the Treasure Valley theater celebrates a milestone, and it’s one of a few this fall. The theater is the recipient of the Talented Nonprofit Award for Idaho Philanthropy Day, an honor that celebrates how they’ve uplifted the arts and the artistic community in Idaho, and beyond.

Since 1997, Boise Contemporary Theater (BCT) has brought theatrical productions to life along with education programs and, more recently, a festival celebrating diverse voices in theater. Theatergoers who’ve moved to Boise after seeing theater in major cities like New York speak to the value that BCT holds for its community. “I can’t think of a more intimate, engaging, and accessible theatrical experience than you get when you come to a play at BCT,” wrote BCT supporter and contributing grant writer Gillian Donahey.

Heritage Bank
This summer, Heritage Bank helped make dreams a reality for Interfaith Sanctuary, a nonprofit that provides sanctuary in the form of a home and warm meal for unhoused and underserved communities in Boise. Thanks to Heritage Bank, Interfaith Sanctuary was able to begin construction on their new shelter to continue to serve people and meet the growing need for their services.
Interfaith Sanctuary’s current shelter is aging and hasn’t grown with the growing needs of the community. The nonprofit was eager to create a newer, fresher start for the families and individuals who access their services. However, they kept running into barriers.

Timeless Adult Volunteer 2024
Jackie Livingston

Each February, more than 300 Girl Scouts come together at the Coeur D’Alene fairgrounds to learn about the world. Over 100 countries are represented. Flags are flown from each country; Girl Scouts make and serve foods representative of their countries; and they share what they have learned about different parts of the world.
This is the World Thinking Day celebration in North Idaho, and for the last eight years, it’s happened thanks to a dedicated Girl Scout volunteer from Post Falls, Jackie Livingston. Jackie is this year’s Timeless Adult Volunteer award winner, and hearing people speak about her contributions to the Girls Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, it’s easy to see why she’s been selected for this honor.
